Kayla Ado - Playwright / Director / Producer / Production Designer

Kayla Ado is a Queer, Egyptian/Iranian Dramaturg, Playwright, Director, and Manager based in Toronto, Ontario. She is a graduate of York University’s BFA Theatre Program specializing in Production and Dramaturgy. Kayla is the Founder and Artistic Director of Past Lives Production Company. Selected credits include: Playwright/Director, Weret Hekau, (Past Lives Production Company, Summer 2021) Artistic Director, playGround (Theatre@York, 2021-2022), Apprentice Dramaturg, You Can’t Get There From Here vol. 2 (Factory Theatre, 2022), Stage Manager, 2022-2023 Season (Ballet Jorgen).

Priscila Gonzalez - Stage Manager / Sound Designer

Priscila Gonzalez is a second year Devised Theatre student at York University. She is based in Toronto and performs for theatre and film. She has been doing theatre for over eight years and aspires to be a well-rounded theatre creator. Priscila’s passions lie in acting, devising, stage management, and sound design. She is constantly looking for opportunities to work with new artists and improve her craft. Stage managing and sound designing this show has been an amazing challenge and has taught her so much. It has been a joy to work with such a wonderful team!

Sarah Miller - Dramaturg

Sarah Miller is a dramaturg and playwright based out of Toronto and Whitehorse. They recently completed their BA in Theatre Performance Creation from York University, with a specialization in Dramaturgy. Sarah is particularly passionate about work that explores queerness and girlhood, and also challenge conventional theatrical form and themes. This is Sarah’s third season with Past Lives as a dramaturg, and they continue to be inspired by the work and friendship of Artistic Director Kayla Ado. Sarah’s favourite flavour of slushie is cherry.

Annie Buckton - Dramaturg

Annie Buckton is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist with passions in theatre, music, visual art, and dance. Through her work, Annie hopes to explore new and creative avenues through which unique and authentic stories may grow and flourish. Annie’s current focuses include performing, directing, and dramaturgy. Past credits include: Dance Nation (Theatre@York), Living Labs 2021/2022, DTF 2022, Audio Theatrica 2021.

Reem Rizk - Zara

Isabella Rose - Kamari

Isabella Rose (Lidbetter) is proudly a 21 year old Egyptian, Canadian, Indigenous actor from Hamilton, Ontario. She currently attends York University, enrolled in the theatre program, specializing in Devised Theatre. She has been singing, acting and performing since she was 11 years old. The theatre and film industry has brought her so much joy since then. This is her 3rd year being apart of the Past Lives Production Company and she is incredibly excited for you to see this amazing show and how much hard work and love that was put into it by the cast and crew!

Ayesha Maria Khan - Nabilah

Ayesha is a queer South Asian actor, poet, vocalist, and budding director who grew up between the middle east, India, and Tiohtiá:ke (present-day Montreal). She feels privileged to be able to help bring Roller Rinks to life and hopes that you, the audience, are able to see yourselves in this work that way that she did.

Amariah Faulkner - Skinny Pretty White Girl

Amariah Faulkner is thrilled to be joining Past Lives Productions again, this time in person! A recent  graduate from Sheridan’s Musical Theater program, she’s worked with Theatre Kingston, Drayton, Neptune, and Mirvish Productions as a performer and theatre practitioner. Her theatricality and sense of play has led her to voice acting and comedy. You can hear her on BYUtv’s Saving Me and see her on the upcoming show The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh. She looks forward to developing her original writings/compositions. Thanks to her family, the ones she’s always had and the ones she’s found. Find her online @amariahfaulkner
