Hello! My name is Kayla Ado and I am the Artistic Director of Past Lives Production Company.

  The creation of Past Lives Production Company has been my first semi-professional Theatrical Adventure and it has been an exciting whirlwind of creation, advocacy, and joy that I am endlessly thankful for. The name 'Past Lives'; came from my own ideas regarding the interconnectedness of all life and its relevance to the art of storytelling. Whether one believes in reincarnation, has strong connections to their ancestors/ancestry, is a history buff, or explores life and death in their work, we can all find a connection through the exploration of life and storytelling, both past and present.

 

      I would like to acknowledge that the exploration of the interconnectedness of all life in storytelling cannot begin without education and advocacy. Thus, Past Lives is centralizing advocacy in all of our work. Explored in more detail in both our Mission Statement and Community Agreement, one of Past Lives' main values is Centralizing and Advocating for marginalized voices. Please refer to our Community Agreement page to read more regarding tangible ways of ensuring this happens as well as to access an amendment form with suggestions on how to improve.
